This study is the result of the collaboration with the Global Corporation Center and Egon Zehnder. Its purpose is to help defining the functions and responsibilities of the coordinating director.

This figure was first introduced in Spain in 2014 (Ley de Sociedades de Capital para la mejora del gobierno corporativo llevada a cabo por la Ley 31/2014, de 3 de diciembre) and it is closely related to the discussion about executive presidency in listed companies. As a result of the insufficient regulatory depth, this study provides some very interesting recommendations regarding its functions and actions.

The report has been supported by conversations with several coordinating directors from the most relevant companies of the Spanish capital market and, as a consequence, it provides a very practical approach.
