The COVID-19 pandemic has required the creation of crisis management teams in companies, institutions and governments. These teams work under stress, dealing with great challenges, forced to make quick decisions. This study has confirmed that the most diverse a team is; the best results it achieves. This diversity within the team makes it more prepared to work easily in the uncertainty.

This research work has also shown that companies that manage jointly diversity and innovation are more competitive. Innodiversity, following the definition given by Celia de Anca and Salvador Aragón, is the capability of an organization to synergistically manage diversity and innovation in order to improve its competitiveness.

This report wants to help science build a diversity “business case”. It shows that the degree of attention of the Spanish companies to the diversity and innovation management depends on their size and field.
