The main purpose of this study is to estimate the importance of the golf sector in the Spanish economy and it gives a number: 4,640 EUR millions. This data reveals the significance and the profitability of this activity, and the important role that it can have in the recovery period after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The data shown in this report provide a realistic vision of how golf can contribute to the sustainable progress and growth of our country. It generates, directly or indirectly, more than 121,000 jobs.

Golf is a decisive factor in the election of Spain as a holiday destination, it attracts 1,195,000 foreign tourists. The golf tourist spends more money, stays longer and contributes to deseasonalization, which means they do not only visit Spain on its peak holiday periods.
